We are unable to accept any applications from students who have attended fee-paying schools. The reason for this is that students who have attended independent schools (even those on bursaries) typically receive increased support and achieve higher outcomes than their counterparts at state-maintained schools.

As a social mobility charity running programmes that are vastly oversubscribed, we have to make difficult decisions and prioritise students who have had the least exposure to aspiration-raising opportunities.

We would encourage you to look at university websites directly as many of them run programmes without these criteria. Alternatively, the UCAS website has information about taster courses that are open to all students. You may also find similar opportunities on UK University Search.
