You may only participate in one Sutton Trust programme.
September - November applications: Pathways and Access Apprenticeships
You may apply for our UK Summer Schools programme or US programme if your Pathways or Access Apprenticeships application was unsuccessful (or you choose to reject your place on Pathways). However, you will not be able to apply to a UK Summer School or the US programme if you are currently enrolled on another Sutton Trust programme. This means that by accepting your place on Pathways or Access Apprenticeships, you do so with the understanding that you won't be able to apply for another programme later in the year.
Although possible, we would discourage you from rejecting a place from the Pathways/Access Apprenticeships programme in order to apply the UK Summer School/US programme, as it could prevent another deserving student from attending and will not guarantee that you'll be accepted on the second programme.
November - March applications: US programme and UK Summer Schools
Provided that you are not enrolled on a Pathways or Access Apprenticeships programme, you may apply to both the UK Summer School and the US Programme, but you will only be able to attend one. If you accept a place on the US Summer School, your UK Summer School application will be withdrawn. Please note that you will have to confirm your decision on the US Programme before you hear back from the UK Summer Schools. You may reject your place on the US Programme to wait to hear back, but you will not be able to reverse this decision if you are not accepted to a Summer School, so it would be a risk.
Again, we would discourage you from withdrawing from the US Programme after accepting to attend the UK Summer School, as it would prevent another deserving student from attending. Please be mindful of this when making your decision in Year 12.
